Each week over a five-month period Sony BMG released 20 of Michael Jackson's biggest hit singles. Each single was issued as a DualDisc allowing each single to contain both the songs and their accompanying music videos.
Working closely with Sony BMG's marketing department, the dvd design followed the box set packaging to give a cohesive product. An iconic image of Michael Jackson's head was chosen made up of hundreds of tiny images of his musical career. As an intro to the dvd menus, the images were animated flying through the air, forming the outline of his face. Sony BMG liked it so much they decided to use it as a TV sting to promote Visionary, aired for a month prior to release.
