La Nouba derives from the French phrase faire la nouba, meaning "to party" or "to live it up". La Nouba is in permanent residence in a specially-made arena at Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Working as part of a larger creative team, the dvd menus were a mix of composited footage of the Cirque characters and still imagery of the stage sets. The live action was rotoscoped so the characters appeared to be in the same environment, moving seamlessly between transitions from menu to menu.
